The last Adviterra Club meeting in 2025 combined practical accounting topics with a discussion on philanthropy and the power of community. The program was divided into three blocks, which showed that business growth and social impact can go hand in hand.
What needs to be resolved by the end of the year
In the introductory section, Ján Svočák summarized the most important tasks that companies should complete by December 31, ranging from unmatched documents, inventory, and accruals to reserves, old liabilities, important tax limits, and options for donating a percentage of taxes.
How can a company meaningfully help the community?
Marcel Zajac from the Tatra Bank Foundation opened the topic of corporate philanthropy in practice. He explained the difference between 2% of tax and an actual donation, described how grant projects are evaluated, and why supporting education has a long-term social impact.
When a community is driven by a powerful idea
Martin Svočák from OZ Športuj srdcom showed how a non-profit project based on discipline, processes, and volunteer energy can work. He shared the story of the ALS charity run and the principles that companies can learn from the functioning of the community.
Three different perspectives—accounting, philanthropic, and community—came together in one common message: long-term growth occurs where professionalism, discipline, and humanity come together.
You can find a more detailed description of the December Adviterra Club in our blog, where we discuss individual topics in greater detail.
